Each resident is entitled to 3 weeks of vacation per year. Residents should limit their time off (including meetings and vacation) to two weeks per rotation. Time at conferences is not included in vacation time. Please inform the medical director, Dr. Sacks, and the chief resident of your plans in writing two months prior to your trip so that your schedule can be appropriately modified. Requests for leave of absence must be in writing and submitted to the chief resident and Dr. Sacks.

It is your responsibility to arrange coverage for beepers when you are away.
