Specimen Transport (for in-patients)
When using the Translogic (vacuum tube) system for delivering specimens to Laboratory Control, it is important that the cannister's foam inserts are not removed. Removing the inserts can adversely affect the samples sent. It also increases the risk of tubes breaking during the high speed transport unless the tubes are properly cushioned.Note: Microbiology and virology specimens may be sent directly to the microbiology station in the Translogic system.
