Post-morning pickup requests

Whenever possible, laboratory tests should be ordered to coicide with the routine collection rounds listed below. All requests for routine pickups must be in the unit's I.V. Phlebotomy request box or on the clipboard before the start of rounds. It is not necessary to telephone for pickup except for emergencies when a test must be performed "STAT."
If a STAT test is required, page the phlebotomist up until 3:00PM. After 3PM "STATS' are available only on rounds except for CWN 7, 8, 9 and the Normal Newborn Nurseries.

Note: Relocation of pods may reflect a temporary or permanent change in the phelbotomy coverage.
