The Brigham & Women's Hospital Blood Bank is registered with the Federal Food and Drug Administration and accredited by the American Association of Blood Banks. The department performs tests and procedures designed to ensure safe and beneficial transfusion therapy. An active donor program supplements the blood needs of the insititution.
